    Dental Treatments

We have over 20 years’ experience in all aspects of dentistry so you quite simply couldn’t be in better hands. And because we put extra emphasis on your wellbeing when you’re with us, you could say we put the ‘treat’ into treatments.

If there’s anything you don’t see that you may be interested in, please ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Everyday Dentistry

Check Ups

The old adage ‘prevention is better than cure’ is never more applicable than in dentistry. Check ups are critical in catching problems early and maintain optimal oral health.

For our first time patients, a full Oral Health Assessment will be carried out. Our attention to detail and patient care is what sets us apart.

This assessment includes X-rays where indicated, photos and a full oral cancer screening. We will take time to get to know about you and your dental history. This appointment gives you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like. We believe this level of service sets us apart from most people’s past experiences at the dentist – come and see how different it can be.

We recommend regular dental check ups and hygiene visits; these could be anything between 3-12 months depending upon your needs. Your dentist will recommend the most suitable interval for your next check-up.

Cancer Screening

As part of our routine examination process we look at risk factors and carefully check for signs in the mouth, cheeks, tongue and face.

Restoring Teeth

Our goal is to provide you with the minimum amount of restorations over your lifetime. However if you need a filling we’ll aim to:

  • Design the restoration so it’s easy to clean and built to last.
  • Choose the best material with the correct wear characteristics.
  • Colour-matching it for a beautiful finish.
  • Check it fits your bite comfortably.

You may have a choice of restorations depending on the situation. Often a combination of techniques will be used which means your work will look great and last as long as possible.

Dental Snags

Some people are driven crazy by food traps, rough edges, loose fillings and other hassles. We will take the time to get everything in good order to give you maximum comfort.

Gum Problems

Gum disease affects more than 50% of all adults in the UK! It’s a very common condition where the gums can become swollen, sore or infected.  If your gums bleed when you brush your teeth and you have bad breath, you may have a gum disease called gingivitis. If left treated, a more serious condition can occur so please contact us today if you feel you need treatment.

See our Hygienist services for gum treatment and care.

Bite Problems

If your bite is not in good order or if you have lost a lot of tooth structure for any reason you can experience various problems including:

  • Head, neck and shoulder pain.
  • Muscle spasms in your face stopping you eating and talking freely.
  • Your teeth may be sore or have a shortened lifespan.
  • Your smile may look aged or worn.
  • Sensitive teeth and gum recession.

The right combination of treatment for your mouth will get things comfortable, stable and looking good again. We have had a number of patients who have been relieved of years of extreme headaches after just a few visits.

Dental Emergencies

We keep daily appointments free in case problems arise. Contact us if you have a problem.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Whitening

More and more people are taking pride in their appearance and one way to do just that is to have your teeth whitened. As professionals, we prefer to deliver the treatment that takes a little longer as opposed to those with instant results. We’ll take an impression of your teeth to create a mouth guard, which will contain the bleaching gel, and we’ll talk you through how and when to wear it for optimum results.

Improving the Shape of Teeth

The length and shape of your teeth can be improved artistically to give you a harmonious, balanced smile. This can sometimes involve simple Composite Bonding. We’ll be happy to discuss the most suitable options with you.

White Fillings

They’re a beautiful alternative to old silver fillings. We use these whenever possible to make your teeth look as natural as possible.

Non-Matching Teeth

If you want to match a combination of fillings, restorations and natural teeth we can give you the right advice about how to achieve an “invisible mend” result.

Dentures

Dentures needn’t look like “false teeth”. A much more natural appearance is possible. We’ll take the time to discuss your dental appearance and can ensure your denture provides a natural and confident solution to missing teeth.

If your teeth are very worn or if you have lost many teeth this can lead to a sunken old face look. Your smile can be redesigned to give your lips and cheeks extra support from the inside, restoring youthfulness and confidence.

Gummy Smiles

GUM CONTOURING

If your teeth are too small or if they are the right length but you show too much gum, this straightforward procedure is often the key to giving you a straight, symmetrical smile.

Hygienist Services

Gum disease affects more than 50% of all adults in the UK! It’s a very common condition where the gums can become swollen, sore or infected.  If your gums bleed when you brush your teeth and you have bad breath, you may have a gum disease called gingivitis. If left untreated more serious problems, resulting in tooth loss, can occur. Please contact us today if you feel you need treatment.

Cleaning

We all love the feeling of beautifully clean teeth once they’ve been professionally cleaned. Rita our hygienist will get everything spotless and show you exactly the right techniques and products for your mouth and leave them looking and feeling beautiful!

Gum Problems

BLEEDING GUMS

Bleeding gums are one of the most common signs of dental disease. Our dental health programme will address this problem as tartar is removed and you are shown how to care for your mouth effectively.

GUM DISEASE

Gum disease can eat away at the bone that supports your teeth loosening them. Effective treatments help you keep your teeth for as long as possible and avoid the eating and appearance problems (longer, crooked or spaced teeth; red swollen receded bleeding gums and bad breath) that can be associated with serious gum problems.

GUM RECESSION

Gum recession is not inevitable as you get older. We determine the cause of the gum recession and then in many cases we can graft new gum on to stop the tooth looking long and feeling sensitive. Some dips in the gum can also be plumped out with this method.

Bad Breath

Get rid of this potentially embarrassing problem with our fresh breath programme that really works. We help with this issue all the time so please feel free to ask for details.

Children

From brushing their first tooth to their first trip to the dentist, it’s important to take care of your children’s teeth. We love seeing children and focus on making their early experiences as positive as possible. We tailor the treatment to each individual child’s pace. We’re here to help and advise on the best ways to care for little teeth. A full range of treatment including preventative tooth sealing, gels to strengthen teeth and fillings are happily provided to our younger patients.

After care

Our care doesn’t stop after you leave the surgery.

If you have any problems or concerns after any treatment, simply get in touch with us.
